Breigh Douglas

Raw Punk Fury from Vancouver's Underground.

Breigh Douglas burst onto Vancouver's gritty music scene like a storm off the Pacific, her voice a jagged blade cutting through the fog of conformity. Born and raised in the rain-drenched streets of East Vancouver, Breigh grew up in a household where punk records spun endlessly — think The Clash meets riot grrrl anthems from Bikini Kill. As a teenager, she ditched high school drama for dive bar stages, forming her first garage band in a cluttered basement at 16. Self-taught on guitar and vocals, Breigh's sound evolved from raw demos recorded on a beat-up four-track to polished yet ferocious tracks that blend pop-punk hooks with post-hardcore intensity.

Her artistic philosophy is unapologetically fierce: music as rebellion, a weapon against the mundane. "I write for the misfits who feel too much," she says, channeling personal battles with identity and societal expectations into lyrics that scream authenticity. After a stint busking on Granville Street and gigging with local hardcore outfits, Breigh caught the ear of indie promoters, leading to her solo breakout EP in 2024. Now, with layered, textured vocals that shift from melodic snarls to ethereal builds, her heavy beats and aggressive delivery capture the chaos of urban youth. Breigh's not chasing radio play; she's igniting a fire in the underground, proving that Vancouver's spirit thrives in distortion and defiance. At 24, she's just getting started, ready to export her sonic rage worldwide.
