Harlan Croft emerged from the sun-baked plains of rural Texas, where the hum of cicadas and the twang of distant pedal steel guitars shaped his earliest memories. Born in a small town outside Austin in the late '80s, Harlan grew up in a family of ranch hands and itinerant storytellers—his grandfather a weathered fiddler who spun yarns of lost loves and hardscrabble lives around campfires. By age 12, Harlan had picked up his first battered acoustic guitar, teaching himself chords from faded songbooks and the crackle of late-night AM radio broadcasts featuring icons like Townes Van Zandt.
